After tons of personal problems and different things happening in my life, I need to put NetBastard.com up for sale.

The domain is 9 years old, and the blog makes money with HostGator affiliate and adsense (contact for more info on details) - the most important thing about the blog is the uniqueness it has and how well it can be branded. Hopefully, the new owner will make the blog into a huge success.

Ok so, I was suppose to receive 50% of aksplace revenue for my part in developing the website. I asked my “partner” to get all the legal stuff done in registering the company and giving me 50% of the shares before I began development on a custom cms. He didn’t want to do it, I always wondered why he wanted things a head of time before paying so I asked. His reply, “I think a head of time…I work one month a head so whatever I make this month I put aside” WTF lol so I think I got a guy scamming. When I was going to create a blog for the site I wanted to get a magazine theme for $70. He told me he’s not spending a penny…it doesn’t make sense because he just told me he spent 3.5k on backlinks…so wtf. Not only that but he told me he would give me $300 for my vbulletin skin, I said when? he said in 2 weeks! lol again..wtf? I told him to give me $50 now, he said he doesn’t have it. So I logged into his vbulletin quickly deleted my skin and took off all my seo work and restored his forum to what it was before me

That $1,000 custom forum skin I was getting paid for…pretty much flopped. The guy told me his partner got somebody else to do it. I believe he wanted me to do it but his partner looked like he had more power in decision making. It’s ok, he told me he would have work for me in 2 weeks and his budget seems good.

I also sold AthleteClinic.com…don’t ask.

I have officially completed the purchase the free host I was talking about in my last post. First, I want to tell everybody I have taken on a $1,000 project for a Diablo 3 gaming forum custom vbulletin theme. This is going to make me super busy, gamers like their shit to look good

I have a lot of things going on at once at the moment. Development for Aksplace is going well. We decided to go with a complete custom CMS system which will take a while to develop.

I am also writting the ebook which is going well but slow because I’m so busy. That ebook should help with creating loads of backlinks when I hand it over to different webmaster blogs for content.

As for TheSchoolGround.com, I am turning it into a blog/forum. Should be done soon!

I am also looking to purchase a free web host for $400 thats making $60/month with adsense. Its a crazy deal because it has a custom design, ipanel script and vbulletin license. It would be a great start. I’ll keep you posted on that.

I purchased TheSchoolGround.com for $100 on a webmaster forum today. It’s pretty much a dead forum but has good potential and I have some good developmental plans. Reason why I bought It was because I had a similar site (blog, same niche) that I sold for $250 because it was getting around 1000 uniques dialy. I am going to create the site into a blog/forum. Thing is…I’m not sure which to make the home page..either make the forum link to the blog with a banner or the other way around. Probably going to make the blog the homepage linking to the forum. I am going to send out a mass mail to my current members once I put up the blog and update the forums a little. Site has never been monitized so I want to see how the site can do. I know this type of site makes it easy for me to gain traffic so…I can’t wait!

I also hired people to post articles on http://athleteclinic.com and development for http://aksplace.com is going great. I am very busy at the moment but everythings going great!

I just developed AthleteClinic.com

I decided to turn it into a magazine/news type blog because of lack of resources. I used the Branford Wordpress theme and customized it a little. My plan is to have articles on big professional athlete injuries, injury tips, training tips, and sport tips. I put sport tips in there to help the betting people out there since they are always looking for that one thing that would change the game and a lot of times they pass by an important injury. I changed the permalinks to display the month and name to help with google traffic.

All I have to do now is write new articles and the blog will be gaining traffic in no time!

Today I was reading about the launch of .me domain names. A lot of people have been having trouble with registering them and all this other bull shit. Personally…I see absolutely no value in these stupid new TLDs. I’m not just pulling this shit out of my ass and hating on them for no reason…which brings me to my first experience with different extensions other then .coms.

After listening to a webmaster radio show, A webmaster was talking about one of his .sc domains making a lot of money since he developed it. I took my shot at seeing what .sc domains were still available and I found some quality…or I thought were quality domains (one word). I regged about 4 of them at $40 each. I saw some similar one word domains, all .sc, sell for couple hundred so I felt pretty good. So…months pass and I develop my domains and sell them off for about reg fee. I felt pretty good because I got my money back and I check my PMs box on a webmaster forum and I have some guy freaking out telling me they cost $120 to renew! WTF! I didn’t even know that the prices went up and the guy was pissed but there’s nothing I can do.

I wouldn’t spend my money on regging these new extensions. Don’t get caught up in all the hype. Spend your money on a quality .com!

Thats why I hate extensions.

Flipping websites is probably the best way to get started in the web industry. As I said before, $10-$20 profit here and there goes a very long way! I am putting myself in the shoes of a brand new web developer with very limited money. So this is my Flipping Websites Challenge. I am allowed to buy websites and/or domain names and develop with any way I think will make me gain profit. Remember, I don’t want to keep these websites, I want to quickly develop them further and quickly sell for profit!

In less than 2 months I need to earn 10 times more that what I start off with which is $50. Lets get started!

In my last update I spoke about partnering up with a developer from Montreal, Canada. The domain is AksPlace - It’s currently a forum doing pretty well because apparently my partner is a popular gambling/promoting man in his city. There has been pretty much no work done on the marketing/seo side. I had my first conversation on the phone with him and I could tell he really cares about his site and wants it to put all his energy/resources into making the website work.

First thing we did was purchase $3.5k worth of “NFL Picks” high PR backlinks. Thats the term we plan to be using, although its probably not the top search term is definitely in the top 10 for our niche. Next, I will be setting up a wordpress blog for the website to run along with the forums. We can do a lot with the blog providing our picks and advice for our members, along with important news and more. The unique content will bring in some more google/search engine traffic which is what we are looking for. Finally, the next step would be to optimize the forum for best search engine results. I was looking around vbulletin.org for different mods and I think “Zoints SEO Mod” is what we need. Another idea my partner suggested was to add an image uploading mod for our users so that when somebody posts our images on a different forum we gain traffic and backlinks. Very good idea. I was also thinking about getting a new forum skin, but if we decide to do that it will be after all the SEO and blog work.

I will keep everybody updated on how the website is doing. This is a huge opportunity for me to learn, earn money and my partner seems genuinely interested in working with me and developing our website further!

Couple new things going on moving me forward in the web world

I’ve done some freelance work saving up some more money for development. It’s great because my clients keep coming back for more and more work, each job is a couple hundred! Thats why I keep telling new freelancers to just shut the hell up and listen to what the client wants.

I partnered up with a internet poker forum with some guy from Montreal. I’m doing some marketing/SEO work on the forum. It’s great because the site isn’t even fully monitized and its earning $2,500 a month. My share is suppose to be 50% and I’m sure I can double the forums revenue within 1 month! This means I will be able to release FreeHostPlan.com at the end of August. This is a great opportunity for me to start making a lot of money!
